Govt clears nine road projects worth 11,597cr

The government has approved nine road projects worth 11,597 crore rupees. These projects with a total length of 1,226 KM belong to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

A Finance Ministry statement said yesterday that the relevant Empowered Committee cleared these projects. The Viability Gap Funding involved is 2,295 crore rupees.

The statement said, these projects are at an advanced stage of bidding or construction and are expected to result in disbursal of 500 crore rupees from the Centre during the current fiscal.
