Defence Minister A K Antony today said the Union government is carefully assessing naxal situation in the country and will take a decision soon to effectively deal with it. Talking to reporters in Lucknow, he said, the government will take a decision on anti naxal strategy <br/> after carefully assessing various implications and pros and cons. He said his ministry would convey its suggestions on the subject after getting views of the Army and the Air force. His comments came in the wake of reports that army's help may be taken to counter the menace of naxalism. Replying to a volley of questions, Mr Antony said, it's a serious issue and internal discussions are not for public debate.<br/>Earlier, the Defence Minister inaugurated housing colony, Sanjog Chetri Vihar in Lucknow. The Chief of Army Staff General V K Singh was also present on the occasion. Built under Married Accommodation Project, 80 houses have been built for Junior commissioned officers and 848 houses for other rank officers. <br/>
