Govt came out in strong support of tiger revival project in Sariska

Government has said that tiger relocation programme is purely scientific and based on prescribed protocols. Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh today came out in strong support of the tiger revival project in Sariska. Though the minister admitted that there was failure of governance and administration in the project, he asserted that the best scientists of the country are working on the tiger relocation programme.A tiger relocated from the Ranthambhore tiger reserve to the Sariska wildlife park was found dead last week and another has been missing for the past few weeks, raising questions over the big-cat revival experiment.
