Government today called upon all stakeholders in the aviation sector to come together to ensure safe skies. Addressing, the first conference of Global Aviation Safety Roadmap in New Delhi today Secretary of Civil Aviation, M.M. Nambiar said that air safety is a global issue and it is the top priority of the government to evolve appropriate and timely measures to ensure air travel is safest in the world.<br/>He also announced the setting up of Civil Aviation Safety Advisory Council under the chairmanship of Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA) to bring in transparency in the system. Also addressing the conference, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Mr. Nazim Zaidi said that the roadmap aims to derive safety approaches to be implemented in short and medium term. <br/>
