Govt calls for strengthening grievance redressal system

Government has called for strengthening the grievance redressal system of the public insurance companies for minimizing trust deficit between the company and the customers.

Speaking at a function in New Delhi this evening, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that customer satisfaction must be ensured to build trust between the consumer and the service provider. He asserted that the insurance has to be conducted under regulatory oversight to maintain long time health of the industry.
