Govt assures suitable arrangements for Haj pilgrims

Government says it attaches highest importance to facilitate suitable arrangements for Haj pilgrims. Inaugurating the Haj terminal at Indira Gandhi International Airport, External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna said that 525 return flights have been arranged to drop and fetch one lakh 25 thousand pilgrims travelling through Haj Committee. He said over 45,000 pilgrims will be traveling through private tour operators. Krishna said that Bhopal and Goa have been added as new embarkation points for Haj pilgrims from this year. Wishing the pilgrims the very best, he said that the arrangements for them have been finalised in close coordination with the Saudi Arabian government.
