Govt. asks ROCs to undertake, enforcement steps to improve compliance rate of companies

The Government will review whether state-run companies are filing their annual reports and balance sheets regularly. In a video conference with Registrar of Companies (ROCs) and Regional Directors (RD) in New Delhi today, Corporate Affairs Secretary R Bandyopadhyay asked the officials to undertake, enforcement steps to improve the compliance rate of companies related to filing of annual reports and balance sheets. Bandyopadhyay said the Government companies have the same liability as any other company and the Ministry will take a comprehensive review of the position regarding non-compliance by the State and Central Government companies. He added, financial and technical assistance would be provided to field officers for undertaking investor education activities. Four RDs and 20 ROCs participated in the video conference.
