Govt asks CGHS doctors to provide consultation to all dengue & chickungunya patients

The government has asked the doctors of Central Government Health Scheme,CGHS Wellness Centres to provide consultation and primary out patient medical care to all patients having symptoms of dengue and chickungunya. <br/>Non- CGHS beneficiaries can also visit these Centres for consultaion and medical care.<br/><br/>The Health Ministry in its letter to all Chief Medical Officers has asked them to provide consultation services to the non CGHS beneficiaries showing symptoms of these diseases.The move came in the wake of the spurt in dengue and chikungunya cases. <br/><br/>The Ministry has also directed municipal bodies in the national capital to intensify preventive measures including fogging with special focus on construction sites and slum colonies.<br/><br/>Following the review meeting undertaken by Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha the Ministry has shot shot off letters to all the municipal corporations, NDMC and Delhi government asking them to widely publicise the preventive measures.
