Govt asks banks to speed up sanction of project proposals under PMEGP

The government on Wednesday asked the banks to increase and fasten up the process of granting sanctions to project proposals under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). Inaugurating the first national conference on PMEGP in New Delhi, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister, Mr Dinsha Patel said that the time delay between sanctioning of application by financing branch and margin money claim settlement by Nodal Branch should be minimized.
