Govt asks all Central Universities to fill up vacancies of teaching, non teaching posts in mission mode

<span style="color: #222222;">The government has asked all the Central Universities to fill up the vacancies of teaching and non teaching posts in a mission mode.<br />''<br />'' They have been directed to fill up vacant posts within a period of one year starting from 5th September 2021.<br />''<br />''In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that four thousand 749 faculty posts have been advertised by the universities so far. He informed that the total number of vacant teaching posts in Central Universities is 6 thousand 558 and non-teaching posts is 15 thousand 227.<br />''<br />''The vacancies arise due to retirement, resignation and additional requirements on account of enhanced students' strength. Mr. Pradhan said the institutions are adopting various measures to address faculty shortages to ensure that studies of students are not affected.</span><br />
