Government has approved the proposal to introduce a transparent system of selection of distributors for LPG in the country through the draw of lots. <br/><br/>According to an official release, the new system will be based on the pattern of methodology successfully introduced under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin LPG Vitrak Yojana. <br/><br/>Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Murli Deora has expressed confidence that this change will take care of allegations of malafide activity in the selection. The change in the procedure will help achieve a faster progress in the process expanding the reach of LPG to uncovered areas.
