Centre has approved 12 highway projects worth over six thousand crore rupees in eight states namely Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, West Bengal, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. <br/><br/>Most of the 476 kilometre projects are under engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode for augmenting highways. Road Transport and Highways Ministry in a release said, the projects were cleared by the Standing Finance Committee on 15th of this month. <br/><br/>Four of the projects pertain to Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh for augmenting of existing highway stretches on NH-39 and NH-415. The West Bengal project pertains to four-laning of Kolaghat to Haldia section of NH-41.
