Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved financial assistance to Somdev Devvarman and other athletes to meet the expenses on training, travel, accommodation. Competent Authority has approved financial assistance of 35 lakh rupees from National Sports Development Fund ( NSDF) to Somdev Devvarman. It has also approved financial assistance of four lakh eighty thousand to Ms Deepa Malik, Para Athletic for continuance of her training . Wrestler Narsingh Yadav will also be given three lakh 64 thousand rupees for training.
