The government has approved about 5,000 crore rupees road projects in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam mainly for widening the existing road networks into two-lanes. An official statement said in New Delhi that the Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure, CCI accorded administrative approval for the widening of existing road to two-lane national highways from Potin to Pangin on build, operate and transfer, BOT basis. It said the total project cost is estimated at 1,855 crore rupees under BOT basis.<br/><br/>The statement said that approval was also granted for 1,389 crore rupees project for two-laning of Nechipu to Hoj section on BOT basis.<br/>
