Maharashtra government has announced a package of 2625 crore rupees for the drought hit areas of the state. An announcement to this effect was made by the Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Patangrao Kadam in the State assembly . AIR correspondent reports that this announcement has come as a relief to the farmers of the areas hit by scanty rainfall in Maharashtra.
