In a major move to boost tourism in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir , the Centre has relaxed the Protected Area Permit Regime ( PAPR) enabling foreign tourists to visit Turtuk village in Nubra valley in Leh district situated on the famous Silk Route . Minister of tourism and culture of Jammu and Kashmir , Mr Nawang Rigzin Jora said that this decision will put Nubra valley prominently on the world tourism map. He said that now tourists would able to travel along the banks of the Pangong Lake , right up to the villages of Man and Merak. Mr Jora also said that Centre has also approved the opening of Chiktan- Batalik area of Kargil district for foreign tourists.<br/>Meanwhile, the Borders Road Organization (BRO) Himank Project Authorities have cleared snow from Zojila Pass and Gumri Shaitan Nalla on Leh-Srinagar national highway in Kargil district.<br/>A team of officers will leave for Sonmarg from Kargil tomorrow to assess the situation at the pass and road will be opened for public only after the clearance report of the team. Meanwhile, people in Ladakh region continued to shiver as the minimum temperature remained between minus 13 degree Celsius to minus 21 degree Celsius at Leh this evening. The minimum temperature at Kargil remained between minus 5 degree Celsius to minus 7 degree Celsius this evening.<br/>
