Government has issued notification allowing the Long Term Visa (LTV) holders of minority communities of Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan to open bank account and purchase property for self occupation. It also decided to issue driving licence, PAN card and Aadhar number to them besides granting permission to take self employment. <br/><br/>These communities are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians. Their free movement within states and transfer of LTV papers from one State to other have also been allowed. Last month, Union Cabinet had approved a proposal in this regard.
