The Government has allocated 23 thousand crore rupees for developing disaster management infrastructure across the country. Addressing a function in New Delhi today, the Vice Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority, M Shasidhar Reddy said that the 13th Finance Commission has allocated this amount for effectively managing disasters in the country. Mr Reddy said, out of this amount, 15 thousand crore rupees will be given to the states and local bodies.
