Human Resource Development Minister, Kapil Sibal on Thursday t the government expects the educational institutions to be transparent and accountable. <br/><br/>Laying the foundation stone of the new head office of All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, in New Delhi, he said that the government aims to raise the gross enrolment ratio, GER, from 13percent to 30 percent in the next ten years. <br/><br/>GER is the percentage of students enrolled in primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education out of the total school-age population for the three levels. <br/><br/>Complimenting AICTE for bringing about an order in the field of technical education, the minister said that the future of the country depends on the skill development of youth. <br/><br/>The building will be constructed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation and will be completed in two years.
