The Jammu and Kashmir Government will conduct verification of Madrasas getting government aid in the state. Minister of School Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed while commenting on reports regarding providing of financial assistance to various Madrasas has said that he has issued orders to the Directors of both divisions to verify authenticity of all 372 Madrasas which are recommended for seeking financial aid received from central Ministry. He has clarified that these Directors have been asked to check the authenticity of these schools and their affiliation and submit a report. The Central Government is giving financial aid to Madrasas in Jammu and Kashmir to run their affairs.
