<span style="color: #222222;">The government has advised States to ensure the operationalisation of a target of one lakh ten thousand Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres by 31st March this year through customised and focused strategy. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan today chaired a meeting with all States and Union Territories through video conference to review the operationalisation status of Health and Wellness Centres, Tele-consultation services and physical and financial progress made under Prime Minister Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana.<br />''<br />'' He said, these Health and Wellness Centres must be fully functional and equipped to dispense free medicine, provide free diagnostics and all prescribed health packages including yoga and healthy living sessions. They were also advised to ensure that all the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres are adequately equipped to function as effective and vibrant tele-consultation Services.<br />''<br />''Mr Bhushan highlighted that for ensuring comprehensive Primary Health Care under Ayushman Bharat, Sub Health Centres and Primary Health Centres are being strengthened as Health and Wellness Centres. He said, these wellness centres are crucial in providing preventive, promotive, rehabilitative and curative care for an expanded range of services. These include child health services, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, oral health, ENT care, and basic emergency care. He advised states on expediting utilisation of funds released under India COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Package: Phase-2 for strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the country.</span><br />
