Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar informed the Rajya Sabha today that the government has accepted the principle of One Rank One Pension for the armed forces. He said the modalities for its implementation have been discussed with various stakeholders and they are presently under the government's consideration. In a written reply, Mr Parrikar said one rank one pension would be implemented once the modalities are approved.
