On the fifth day of science conclave being held at Triple IT(IIIT) at Allahabad ,scientists are sharing research as well as as issues of social concern. AIR correspondent reports that speaking to gathering renowned Indian radio astronomer Prof Govind Swarup talked about Bing bang theory and evolution of earth. He said till this date we are not sure that we are alone or we have have some other companion because there is no evidence of aliens in this universe. Prof swarup also highlighted this fact that in next in next 10 years ten years radio telescopes will be 100 times more powerful than today. The Chief Technology Executive Of International Organization of repute IBM Dr. David Harame give illustrated details of research scuess in the field of Transitiors electronics which is now become ideal for space research.Focusing to students he said if we have passion then we can achieve ,mentioning his career how he chose biology as a sudentt and switch to zoology then again shift to engineering in the world of electronic transtiors.Discussing the role of women scientist the visiting woman scientist Alena pavlyukova underlined the importance of participation of women in top administrative and policy making initiatives to ensure greater role of women in scientific world.while another women scientist Dr Betty Macharthy emphasized the need for urgent change and said the situation is more or less is same for women as it was in her student days. The president of Association of Europian university raised the issue of Brain drain in the Europian universities and appealed that we all should think about this issue also.
