National Security Advisor, M.K. Narayanan has been appointed as the Governor of West Bengal, while former Home Minister Shivraj V. Patil will be the Governor of Punjab and also the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh. A Rashtrapati Bhawan Communique issued late last night said that M.O.H. Farook will be the Governor of Jharkhand, while K. Shankaranarayanan has been shifted from Jharkhand to Maharashtra. Former Defence Secretary Shekhar Dutt has been appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh while E.S.L Narasimhan has been shifted from Chhattisgarh to Andhra Pradesh. Urmila Singh will be the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, while Ms. Prabha Rau has been shifted from Himachal Pradesh to Rajasthan.<br/><br/>
