Government to organize Hastkala Sahyog Shivirs in 421 handloom and handicrafts clusters

Government will organize Hastkala Sahyog Shivirs in 421 handloom and handicrafts clusters in different parts of the country which will benefit over 1.2 lakh weavers and artisans. <br/><br/>Textiles Minister Smriti Irani today apprised over 40 districts' officials across 17 states through video conferencing about the pan India Handloom and Handicraft Camps to be organized between 7 to 17th of next month. In a series of tweets, Ms Irani said today's interaction was webcast across 228 districts to give officials an insight on the importance of camps. <br/><br/>In these camps, services including issuance of credit facilities through MUDRA scheme, assistance for technological upgradation, issuance of Yarn Pass Book and enrollment under IGNOU and NIOS courses will be provided to the weavers and artisans. <br/><br/>This initiative is dedicated to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garib Kalyan Varsh, the birth centenary year of Pandit Deendayal Upadhayay.
