The Government says that the GDP will clock 7.5 per cent growth this fiscal. Addressing an International Seminar on Transfer of Pricing in New Delhi today, the Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee said the economy may grow beyond 8 per cent in the next fiscal. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee said, the growing inflation particularly, food prices is a disturbing and a matter of concern. He, however, said, the prices may come down as the government has taken a series of measures on the supply side.<br/>The three-day seminar is being jointly organised by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. AIR correspondent reports that the transfer pricing is a major international tax compliance issue as multinational entities tend to set transfer pricing on cross-border transactions to reduce taxable profits. Head of transfer pricing unit of OECD Caroline Silberztein, and Michalle Levac of Canada Revenue Agency apart from senior officials are participating in the seminar.
