Government removes minimum export price on potato

The government has removed the Minimum Export Price (MEP) on potato. Directorate General of Foreign Trade said in a notification that export of potatoes, fresh or chilled is permitted without any MEP. In July, the government had imposed MEP of 360 dollar per tonne on potato to increase domestic availability and cool prices.
