The government today said it is willing to discuss the issue of intolerance in Parliament saying there is nothing to hide. Resuming the discussion on the commitment to India's Constitution as part of the 125th Birth Anniversary celebration of Dr B R Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said, the government is ready to discuss any issue raised by the opposition. He also clarified that there will be no rethink on the reservation policy and the government is committed to provide reservation to the vulnerable and poor sections of the society.<br/><br/>The Minister said, there should be a dialogue on the pending women reservation bill as to how to pass it. He also expressed concern about criminalization of politics adding that everyone should come together to find ways how it can be prevented. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said, the issue of corruption is agitating the mind of the people and is a matter of concern. He said, Narendra Modi led government has implemented Direct Benefits Transfer Scheme to prevent pilferage in transferring of funds in the beneficiaries accounts. He said, to ensure social security to the vulnerable and poor section of the society, the government has launched various schemes including Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Mr Naidu said, there is no threat to the Constitution and appealed to the opposition to cooperate in further strengthening the Constitution. Mr Naidu also took strong exception to the Congress leader for his alleged remarks during an interview to a Pakistani Channel against Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that it should be condemned by the Congress Party.<br/> <br/>On the other hand, the Congress once again tried to corner the government on intolerance issue. Participating in the debate, Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia accused the government of keeping silence on the issue. He demanded to bring a bill to check atrocities against SCs and STs. Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said, there should be no review of Constitution. Leaders from SAD and AIADMK also participated in the discussion which is continuing.
