Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has said that the central government is having the scientific temperament, which is the need of the era. <br/><br/>He was speaking while giving inaugural speech in the 5th Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan in Pune today. The technology needed especially for defence sector should be developed indigenously and Make in India campaign will support this need, he said. <br/><br/>Maharashtra Minister for Higher & Technical Education Vinod Tawde emphasized the need to translate scientific terminology into regional languages. Renowned scientist and Chancellor of Nalanda University Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and Dr. Govind Swarup were present on the occasion. <br/><br/>The four-day Sammelan organized jointly by Vijnana Bharati, Government of Maharashtra and Deccan Education Society, includes conferences and seminars on various topics related to science. A grand science expo has also been organized on the occasion showcasing Brahmos missile and other equipments, which is the main attraction for science lovers.
