<span style="color: #222222;">The government is continuously working to address the historical injustice faced by the tribal people in the country. It is focusing to devise sustainable solutions to the problems being faced by them and has taken several measures in this direction. This was stated by Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda while replying to a discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the working of his Ministry. He said, the government has taken a series of measures to promote education in the tribal population especially among the tribal girls. He said, emphasis has been laid to open the school in the tribal areas and provisions have been made to provide 28 thousand crore rupees for creating necessary infrastructure. Mr. Munda added that the government has taken steps to strengthen sports infrastructure and groom talented sports persons in the far flung tribal areas. He said, the government is also providing scholarships to tribal students directly to their bank accounts.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Earlier, intervening in the discussion, Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju said, the government has taken historic steps for the welfare of the tribal people in the last eight years. He said, record budgetary allocation has been made in this year's Budget for the Tribal Affairs Ministry. He said, the government has also taken the decision to celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas on 15th November to highlight the contribution of tribal freedom fighters. NCP Member Vandana Chavan said, emphasis must be given on the promotion of education among the tribal people.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She also said, special efforts need to be taken to develop leadership quality among tribal people. Binoy Viswam of CPI said that allocation for the tribal affairs Ministry has been reduced in this year's Budget. Samir Oraon, Brijlal, Ramilaben Bara of BJP lauded the government initiatives for the welfare of tribals in the country. MP Suresh Gopi and BJD member Prasantha Nanda and others also participated in the discussion.</span><br />
