Government has said it is committed to the rejuvenation of River Ganga. Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Uma Bharati told the Lok Sabha today that consultations with different stake-holders as well as academics, technical experts and NGOs associated with cleaning of Ganga, are in progress. The Minister gave this information in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today. She said crystallisation of action plan, including framing of its salient features, time line and likely expenditure will be known only after the finalisation of the action plan for River Ganga.
