The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA has approved the swapping of Save Our Soul,SOS village land with the Airport Authority of India’s airport land.
This will facilitate the construction of hangars at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati.
The CCEA also removed the restriction of one LPG cylinder at subsidized rate per month to benefit consumers.
Now, the consumers will get 12 cylinders of cooking gas at subsidised rates in a year even if they consume more than one cylinder in a month.
Talking to reporters after the cabinet meeting Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the change will meet the people's genuine requirements subject to their annual entitlement of subsidized cylinders.
The CCEA gave nod to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to amend the Model Concession Agreement as may be required from time to time and to decide the mode of delivery of projects.
The Cabinet also approved the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, MoC in the field of health care between the Health Ministries of India and Japan.
The CCEA allowed Madras Fertilizers Limited Manali, Manglore Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd Mangalore and Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation, Tuticorin to continue urea production by using existing feed stock of naphtha from 1st July to 30th September 2014.
The step will help in meeting the requirement of urea for farmers in the ongoing kharif season.
