The British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown has decided that the British general elections will take place in just over four weeks time, on May the 6th. <br/><br/>Today, Mr. Brown will ask Queen Elizabeth to dissolve Parliament before making a formal announcement of the date and starting the election campaign.
