In Uttar Pradesh, the investigation into the attack on the security personnel of Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur has been handed over to the state's Anti-Terror Squad and the Special Task Force. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi told reporters in Lucknow today that it cannot be denied that the assaulter has big connections. He said the investigation is underway to ascertain whether the attack was linked to a terrorist conspiracy.<br />''<br />''ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said, the attack could be a part of a bigger conspiracy, though the investigation is in the initial stage. He added that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a reward of five lakh rupees to the three security personnel who fought bravely and nabbed the assaulter. Last evening at around 7 O'clock, an assailant had forcefully tried to enter into the Gorakhnath temple complex and attacked the security personnel at the main entrance with a sharp weapon.
