Former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda who is accused of allegedly abetting suicide of a former air hostess Geetika Sharma, contniues to elude Delhi Police for the third day on Friday.
According to a Delhi Police official raids were conducted at Kanda's residence in Sirsa in Haryana and his premises in Delhi last night. His close relatives were also questioned but he could not be located.
Earlier, A look-out notice was issued by Delhi Police against Gopal Kanda and all airports have been put on alert to ensure that Kanda does not fly out of the country. Kanda has also not appeared before police despite a notice issued to him to join the investigation.
Kanda's anticipatory bail plea to avoid arrest in the case was yesterday rejected by a Delhi court which said the charges against him were serious and that he may hamper the probe.
Police has received Geetika's post mortem report which was being studied.
Geetika a former employee with Kanda's now defunct MDLR airline, was found hanging at her Ashok Vihar residence in the national capital on Sunday.
In her suicide note, Geetika blamed Kanda for abetting her to commit suicide.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday urged Gopal Kanda to join the investigations in the suicide case of air-hostess Geetika Sharma .
He said any body evading arrest is unfair.
On being asked whether Haryana police was allegedly sheltering Kanda, Hooda responded that he has since resigned from his government.
