Reaching out to rural India and vast Hindi speaking audience, Google today dedicated its doodle to the great writer Munshi Premchand on his 136th birthday. Paying respect to the legendary author, Google said, the illustration pays tribute to the multitude of important stories he told.<br/><br/>Premchand was born on July 31, 1880 at Lamhi village in Uttar Pradesh. He wrote nearly 300 short stories, novels and essays in his lifetime with many of his stories and novels finding their way to world of theatre and films.
