<span style="color: #222222;">The daily goods train service, being operated up and down by the Southern Railway between Chennai Egmore and Nagercoil has evoked good response from the public.<br />'' <br />'' The special service, being operated by the longer main line between Egmore and Trichy, is widely being utilised by the Cauvrery Delta public.<br />'' <br />'' The train has stops in Mannargudi, Thanjavoor and Trichy in the Delta region.<br />'' <br />'' Railway authorities have confirmed that the service is being welcomed by the people in general, especially for transporting easily perishable cargo.<br />'' <br />'' They also point out that ts significance is increased because of the absence of any other public transport system during Covid-19 lockdown.</span><br />
