In Chhattisgarh, a goods train carrying iron ore from Vailadila in Chhattisgarh to Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh got derailed near Kuper under the Bhansi police station area of Dantewada district last night. According to police sources, the accident was caused due to the removal of the fish-plates of the rail track by suspected naxalites. Following this, the engine along with 8 bogies of the train skidded off the track between Bhansi and Kamalur in the Dantewda district last night. Rail communication along this route has since been affected. Repair work at the spot is being done on a war footing to restore rail communication along the route. Adequate security forces have been deployed at the spot for the smooth conduct of the rail repair works.
