Good Governance Day: HM Amit Shah says govt moving forward on path of bringing transformation in country

Home Minister Amit Shah has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a corruption-free government in the last seven years. He said that the Narendra Modi government has come to power not for the intention of running the government but to transform the country.<br />''<br />''Addressing the valedictory session of Good Governance Day in New Delhi, Mr Shah said, good governance refers to transparent government with a vision of inclusive growth for all as well as in every sector. He said, with this vision, the Modi government is moving forward on the path of bringing transformation in the country, where urban and rural areas are bing developed by fulfilling the aspiration of the people.<br />''<br />''Mr Shah stressed that good governance can come only through the use of technology in the formulation of policies and administration. He said, with a view to solve the basic problems to be faced by the citizens, policies and programs were made in such a way that the whole problem is uprooted from the root.<br />''<br />''The Minister said, government has given houses to more than two crore people and the work of providing electricity and toilets in every household is over.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh said that more than 80 per cent of the work of government is being done online.<br />''<br />''He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought a paradigm shift with the Minimum Government-Maximum Governance approach. Dr Singh said, the public grievances have increased from two lakh in 2014 to more than 25 lakhs at present with more than 95 percent disposal of cases.<br />''<br />''Dr. Jitendra Singh said a Common Eligibility Test will be conducted across the country from next year. He said, National Recruitment Agency will conduct the test to bring about ease of recruitment for young job aspirants.<br />''<br />''Dr Singh said, every district in the country will have at least one Examination Centre which will greatly enhance access to the candidates living in far-flung areas.<br />
