The first meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on corruption was held in New Delhi on Friday. The high-powered committee headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will suggest legislative and administrative measures to deal with cases of corruption and improve transparency in functioning of the government. The group has been asked to come out with its recommendations within two months. The GoM was set up in the wake of series of corruption cases.
