GoM meet on Land Acquisition Bill remains inconclusive

The Group of Minister (GoM) meet on Land Acquisition Bill today remained inconclusive. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, after the meeting, Agriculture minister and who heads the GoM, Sharad Pawar said, two or three more meetings are needed for finalising the bill. Mr Pawar said consent required from land owners over the issue of retrospective acquisitions . AIR correspondent reports, all ministers except Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia were present in the meeting.
