The meeting of Group of Ministers, GoM which was held in New Delhi to review the ban on cotton export remained inconclusive. The meeting headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, was attended by Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, and Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma, who also holds the Textiles portfolio.

According to the officials, the next meeting may take place on Saturday for further discussion on this issue. The Commerce Ministry on 5th of this month had banned cotton exports.
