Union Minister Venkiah Naidu has said a Group of Ministers is looking into the issue of plight of farmers who are reportedly getting a price lower than the Minimum Support Price in the market. <br/><br/>Raising the issue in the Rajya Sabha today, Sharad Yadav of the Janata Dal (United) said farmers are getting affected due to low prices being realized though there has been a bumper harvest this season due to good monsoon. <br/><br/>Sitaram Yechury of the CPM said the zero-import duty for cereals and pulses should be done away with to safeguard the interests of the domestic farmers.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was received warmly by all members by thumping the desks.
