The Group of Ministers will take a decision on export of wheat this evening. This was stated by Agricultural Minister Sharad Pawar after a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in New Delhi.
Government has already allowed exports of four and half million tonnes in view of surplus stocks with FCI. A decision on exporting another five million tonnes is expected.
