Gold prices today gained 130 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for February contracts. The precious metal was trading at 48,190 rupees per 10 gram in intra-day trade.

Silver prices also climbed 450 rupees to 62,750 rupees per kilogram for March Contracts when reports last came in.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up to trade at 1,818 US dollars and 50 cents per ounce. Silver prices were also up to trade at 23 dollars and 20 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
