Gold up by 480 rupees

Gold spurted 480 rupees, to regain the 32,000-rupee level after seven weeks, at 32,410 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today. Gold rose on increased buying by stockists and jewellers to meet the rising festive and marriage season demand, amid a firm global trend. Silver held steady at 50,200 rupees per kilo, on lack of support from industrial units. Silver coins, spurted 1,000 rupees, to 88,000 rupees for buying 100 pieces. Overseas, gold climbed 0.6 per cent, to 1,342 dollars an ounce.
