Gold touches new height of Rs 31, 980 per 10 gram

Continuing its upward swing, gold rose 130 rupees, to a new all-time high of 31,980 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market on Wednesday.Gold rose on sustained buying by stockists for the upcoming marriage season, some investors shifting their funds to bullion from falling equity markets, and firming gold prices globally. But silver dropped 200 rupees to 60,000 rupees per kilo.
