Amidst rout in global equities today, gold soared to an over 14-month high of 31,600 rupees per ten grams, gaining 330 rupees in Delhi's bullion market. Largely in sync with the overseas trend, gold gains were supported by a strong demand from local jewellers to meet the wedding season demand.Silver gained as well and reclaimed the 40,000 rupees per kilogram mark on the back of increased offtake by industrial units.
