Falling from a record high, gold dropped 210 rupees, to 23,260 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market on Wednesday on reduced offtake at existing high levels. Silver slipped 1,500 rupees, to 58,000 rupees per kilo. Silver coins nose-dived 2,500 rupees to 62,500 rupees for buying 100 pieces.Trading sentiment turned bearish as the gold in the global markets lost more than 16 dollars, to 1,589 dollars an ounce. Silver declined 3.8 per cent, to 39.11 dollars an ounce.
