Gold and silver toched new peak at the bullion market in Mumbai on strong global cues. Standard gold shot up by 135 rupees per 10 grams to finish at 21,225 rupees. Silver ready jumped by hefty 1,880 rupees per kilogramme to 62,005. Speculative buying spree also triggered the hike.
